Frequently asked questions
What fuel should I use?
E10 (95 octane unleaded) is suitable for most models. Some engines require E5 — check the owner's manual. Do not use fuel with more than 10 % ethanol. Use a fuel stabiliser if the engine will be stored for longer periods.
What is the difference between 2-stroke and 4-stroke?
Our entire range is 4-stroke — more fuel-efficient, quieter and no oil mixing required. 2-stroke engines are prohibited on many waterways.
How do I winterise the motor?
Flush with fresh water, run the carburettor dry, apply anti-corrosion spray, inject engine oil through the spark plug hole and store upright.
Do I need a boat licence?
In the Netherlands no licence is required on inland waterways for boats up to 15 m and 20 km/h. Different rules apply on national waterways — check local regulations.
