Choosing the right tank size
Depending on engine power, you consume 1–5 litres per hour. An 11.3 L tank will last over 6 hours with a small motor; the 22.8 L tank is suited for larger motors or longer trips. The built-in fuel gauge gives you extra peace of mind on extended outings.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I connect the tank to my motor?
- Connect the hose to the tank outlet and motor inlet, check the O-ring, squeeze the primer bulb until resistance is felt, then start the motor. Check for leaks.
- How do I store the tank safely?
- Store in a ventilated location away from sun and heat – petrol vapour is explosive and can accumulate in confined spaces. Remove the connector for storage. For winter lay-up: drain the fuel and add fuel stabiliser.
- Can I use a tank from a different brand?
- The tank itself is universal, but the hose and connector are brand-specific. If buying a standalone tank, check your existing hose. When in doubt, choose a complete set.
- What is the fuel consumption of my motor?
- 4 HP ≈ 0.8–1.0 L/h; 9.9 HP ≈ 2.0–2.5 L/h; 15 HP at full throttle ≈ 4–5 L/h. Always plan for a 20% safety margin.
