The Tohatsu outboard motor 3.5 hp Long-tail is suitable for sailboats or boats where the transom sits far from the water. For dinghies, we recommend a short-tail engine.

The Tohatsu outboard engine 3.5 hp is one of the smallest outboard engines. The compact design makes the outboard motor very user-friendly. The outboard motor is easy to control with the baton. The motor can be rotated 360 degrees. There is a forward and neutral gear on the motor.

With the hand start, the outboard motor is easy to start and because of the CDI ignition, the motor starts well even when it is colder. This outboard is equipped with a fast-choke which can be used when it is cold.

The engine is also equipped with a few safety features. There is a deadman cord on it, this ensures that the engine shuts off if the driver falls out of the boat. There is also a start safety device which ensures that the engine can only be started when the gear is in neutral.
