Buy wakeboards for boat and cable park
A wakeboard is a short, wide board between 128 and 144 cm on which you stand and glide across the water behind a motorboat or cable system. The rocker shape determines speed, lift and manoeuvrability. This sub-category within the broader wakeboard range contains only standalone boards from JOBE (without bindings or packages), for both beginners and advanced riders. If you want everything in one go, check out the wakeboard sets; for the complete JOBE line including ropes and bindings, visit the JOBE wakeboard collection.
Which JOBE wakeboard suits your level?
| Model | Size | Rocker | Level | Focus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JOBE Logo 138 | 138 cm | Continuous | Beginner | Allround learning to ride |
| JOBE Vanity | 131/136/141 cm | Continuous | Beginner to intermediate | Recreational, family use |
| JOBE Maddox | 142 cm | 3-stage | Intermediate to advanced | Boat, aggressive pop |
| JOBE Breach | 143 cm | Hybrid | Intermediate to advanced | Boat and cable park, wood core |
| JOBE Vertex / Vertex Pro | 140+ cm | Hybrid | Advanced | Speed and response |
| JOBE Reload | 140+ cm | 3-stage | Advanced | Boat, strong pop |
| JOBE Prolix | 140+ cm | Hybrid | Advanced | Cable park, obstacles |
Rule of thumb: choose board length based on your weight (130-134 cm for 40-70 kg, 135-140 cm for 60-80 kg, 139-144 cm for 80-110 kg). For beginners, a continuous rocker (Logo, Vanity) is easier because the board glides smoothly over the wake. For advanced riders, 3-stage and hybrid rockers give more height on jumps.
Premium or standard core
The difference between JOBE's standard and premium boards lies mainly in the core and construction. Standard boards (Logo, entry-level Vanity) have a polyurethane foam core and simple base fins, great for recreational riding and learning. Premium boards (Breach with wood core, Vertex Pro, Maddox flagship) use composite cores that deliver more pop and stiffness, better edge control for sharper turns and harder landings, and often feature an ABS sidewall that withstands damage when hitting rails and obstacles in cable parks.
Frequently asked questions about wakeboards
Which wakeboard should I choose as a beginner?
For beginners, the JOBE Logo 138 and Vanity (131-141 cm) are the logical choice: both have a continuous rocker that glides smoothly over the wake without unpleasant impact rebounds. The Logo is slightly stiffer and more affordable, the Vanity has a slightly more refined finish. More important than the exact model is size selection: choose at the upper end of your weight class for extra stability during your first sessions. A JOBE Logo 138 suits riders from 60 to 80 kg; the Vanity is available in 131, 136 and 141 for the three weight classes.
What is the difference between continuous, 3-stage and hybrid rocker?
Continuous rocker is a smooth, flowing curve from nose to tail that delivers speed and easy turns, ideal for learning to ride and cruising. 3-stage rocker has three separate flat sections with sharper transitions, giving more height on jumps and a more explosive pop off the wake, but landings are harder. Hybrid rocker combines both: smooth gliding over the wake plus extra lift when jumping. For 95% of wakeboarders, hybrid is the most versatile choice. 3-stage is for competitive riders who want every extra centimetre of height.
Can I attach separate bindings to a board from this collection?
Yes. All JOBE wakeboards in this collection have a universal 4x4 or 6x4 insert pattern that fits all JOBE wakeboard bindings (Maze, Unit, Ripper, Republik, Charge, Nitro, Host, Drift). Bindings are sold separately in our wakeboard set and bindings category. For riders who don't want to buy separate bindings: check out the package models (Logo + Maze, Vanity + Unit, Breach + Nitro, Maddox + Host) where board and bindings are delivered together.
What size board for my weight?
General wakeboard length guidelines: under 45 kg choose a board under 130 cm, 40-70 kg a 130-134 cm board, 60-80 kg a 135-139 cm board, 80-110 kg a 139-144 cm board and over 110 kg go above 144 cm. When in doubt between two sizes: beginners go longer (more stability), advanced riders go shorter (more manoeuvrability). That's why the Vanity is available in three sizes (131, 136, 141) to nail the right choice. For cable park riding with obstacles, go one centimetre shorter than for boat riding due to manoeuvrability needs.
