IJben Season Sports is a growing (Water) sports company with Rubberboatsonline.nl and Watersportsonline.nl. Through both a store in Joure and a webshop. Partner of several renowned water sports brands such as Helly Hansen and JOBE. As well as our own brand HIBO (dinghies and accessories) with which we have been active for over 10 years. In 2021 Intersurf was acquired by IJben Season Sports. Intersurf has been the leading windsurf store in the north of the Netherlands since the 80's. For Watersportsonline this means an additional store in Sneek and a larger assortment online.
Sales Specialist Sailing & Funsport
What does the job look like?
Are you an avid sailor / water sports enthusiast? And do you want to be busy with your hobby while working? Then we are looking for you as a sales specialist for the sailing sports department. You are responsible for the sailing and fun sports department at our stores in Sneek and Joure. With your enthusiasm and product knowledge you will listen to the wishes of the customer so he/she will go on the water with the right outfit. Besides the stores you are also involved in our webshop Watersportsonline, where you transfer your product knowledge to the customer.
You are also responsible for the different brands in the store, so you have a lot of contact with suppliers. You keep a close eye on the stock and see which collections should be displayed in the store for the next season. In addition, questions come in daily via phone, email or chat, which you answer with your product knowledge.
Besides customers in the store, you will also look for new customers outside the store, and maintain existing relationships. In short, a versatile and varying function with peak moments in the summer and in the winter preparation and arranging many things with more flexibility.
What will be your duties
- You will help and advise customers in the store.
- Together with your colleagues, you will ensure a well-kept presentation in the store.
- You keep a sharp eye on the stock of both stores.
- You answer customer questions by phone, email and chat.
- Together with your colleagues you edit products on the webshop.
- You maintain contact with suppliers and customer relations.

Commercial Assistant
What does the function look like?
Would you like to work in a growing water sports company and be involved with water sports products every day?
Every day many packages are shipped for our own webshops and marketplaces like Bol.com and Amazon with peak moments on the warmer days of the year.
Besides outgoing packages, boxes, pallets or containers arrive daily with goods that need to be processed and then delivered to the right place in the warehouse. It is important to keep an overview and work accurately.
There are also customer or internal questions about the orders and packages that need to be answered.
When all packages are processed, the warehouse has to be put back in order so that everything is ready again. And in the office there are the necessary tasks to be handled.
In short; a versatile and varying function with peak moments in the summer and in the winter preparations and arranging a lot of things with more flexibility.

Intern E-commerce Manager
What does the internship look like?
Before the summer starts our webshop has to be in tip-top order. To ensure optimal results the preparation starts in the winter period.
During the summer period it is important to quickly respond to the weather with targeted actions, but also to optimize the webshop where necessary.
You are daily busy with managing and optimizing the product range on Bol.com and Amazon, but also with the data from Google Analytics.
The campaigns in Google Adwords are also reviewed and adjusted daily for optimal results.
Because of the flat organization, your workday can be varied, helping out in the warehouse for a while when it is very busy there. Helping a customer who has a question about ordering from the webshop or helping with checkout in the store.

Internship Manager Retail
What does the internship look like?
Before the summer starts our store has to be in tip-top order. To ensure optimal results, you will start preparing during the winter period.
Because we are an omninchannel company we have a lot of targeted customers who like to receive your help and advice. You work with technical (sports) products where it is necessary to have a good product knowledge to be able to help / advise customers well. Together with our brands we pay a lot of attention to this! We also receive daily questions via phone, email or chat.
During the winter period or at quiet moments you can work on the webshop to be able to transfer your knowledge to the customer. During the season these are small adjustments and improvements, and in winter the assortment will need an update.
