WHAT IS A WETSUIT?
A wetsuit is a surf suit for water sports and is designed to protect your body from the cold temperatures of the water and wind. A surf suit consists of neoprene, which is a synthetic rubber known for its insulating properties. Neoprene offers good insulation and flexibility making them very comfortable for sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing and wakeboarding.
WHAT TYPES OF WETSUITS ARE THERE?
Wetsuits come in several types of models. We sell three different models, a Full suit, a shorty and a long john. Each wetsuit is used for different purposes, it is important that you choose the right one for your favorite water sport.
Fullsuits are the standard wetsuits with long legs and long arms. These suits are mainly used in cold water simply because it provides the most insulation. A shorty is suitable for summer in warmer water, a shorty wetsuit has short sleeves and short legs and often come in a thickness of 3 2mm. These two are mainly used for surfing. You also have a long john, this is a wetsuit with long legs and no arms. This allows you to wear these in combination with a neoprene top or lycra shirt, these are used more by sailors.
HOW DOES A WETSUIT WORK?
Neoprene has an insulating effect. When you start using a wetsuit, a thin layer of water comes between the body and the suit, this layer of water is heated by your own body heat. The neoprene material retains heat and allows for freedom of movement. This allows everyone to enjoy longer sessions in the water without suffering from the cold.

WHICH SIZE AND FIT
The right size is very important. It is best if the wetsuit fits your body well, leaving a thin layer of water between you and the suit and giving you enough flexibility. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FRONT ZIP AND BACK ZIP?
When buying a wetsuit it is wise to consider the differences between the zippers. A front zip has a zipper in the front, which makes it tighter on the body and allows less water to enter the suit. A front zip offers more flexibility, making them perfect for sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing and wakeboarding. A back zip has the zipper on the back, a back zip is easy to put on but lets more water in and is less flexible.
MEN'S WETSUIT

HOW SHOULD YOU MAINTAIN YOUR WETSUIT?
Your wetsuit should of course be well maintained, yet this is often forgotten. The proper maintenance of your wetsuit ensures a clean suit and a longer life span.
