The 5.5mm neoprene shaft effectively keeps windchill out and warms up quickly as soon as you move; the split-toe construction sets your big toe apart, keeping the shoe centered under your foot and not twisting away when you load hard or change direction quickly. This gives more direct board feel on water starts, jibes and short runs across beach or jetty, while keeping your toes plenty of room for natural sense of balance. Glued and blind-stitched (GBS) seams limit water entry, the low collar closes just below your wetsuit pipe for a draft-free fit, and the soft inner lining dries smoothly between sessions.
