The Hidea HDF5 4-stroke long-shaft outboard is the perfect choice for smaller boats that require a longer shaft, such as sloops, aluminium boats or inflatable rubber dinghies with a higher transom. With its 5 HP, this compact single-cylinder engine delivers powerful performance and low fuel consumption, whilst the longer tail section ensures optimum power transfer to the water. Thanks to the TCI ignition and smooth recoil starter, the engine starts easily, and the forward-neutral-reverse gear combined with tiller control makes manoeuvring effortless.
The engine features thermostatically controlled water cooling, a stainless steel water pump housing, zinc-coated internal water passages and a robust aluminium alloy that offers protection against corrosion. Thanks to the through-the-prop exhaust, the engine runs quietly and smoothly, whilst features such as a shallow-water system, adjustable steering friction and an integrated 1.1-litre fuel tank with gauge ensure ease of use.
