JOBE SUP for tours and recreation
A JOBE SUP is an inflatable stand-up paddle board that lets you paddle standing across canals, lakes and coastal waters. JOBE almost always supplies its SUP boards as a complete package: the board itself plus paddle, double-action hand pump, carry bag and leash. The range runs from the children's Sava 8.6 to the touring Neva 12.6 and even an inflatable E-SUP Duna 11.6 with a detachable jet motor.
What length SUP do I need?
The right length of a SUP depends on the user's body weight and the type of tour. A short, wide board is stable but slow, a long narrow SUP is faster but less stable.
| Board length | Maximum user weight | Use | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8.6 ft | up to 75 kg | Kids and lighter adults | JOBE Sava 8.6 |
| 10.0 - 10.6 ft | 75 to 100 kg | All-round, wide water | JOBE Lina 10.0, Yarra 10.6 |
| 11.0 - 11.6 ft | up to 120 kg | All-round and short touring | JOBE Varna 11.0, Duna 11.6 |
| 12.6 ft | up to 130 kg, or two people | Touring and long trips | JOBE Neva 12.6 |
The shape of the nose matters. A round all-round nose like on the Yarra and Leona is wide and forgiving for beginners. A pointed touring nose like on the Duna and Neva cuts through the water for longer distances.

Frequently asked questions about JOBE SUP boards
Is an inflatable SUP as sturdy as a hardboard?
For recreational use up to light touring, modern inflatable SUP boards from JOBE are equivalent to a hardboard, provided they are inflated to the correct pressure (around 15 PSI). The drop-stitch construction keeps the surface taut and stiff so you don't sag in the middle. For competitive sport, surfing waves or daily intensive training, a hardboard is still faster and more precise, but for 95% of recreational paddlers an inflatable is more than enough. Advantage: it fits in a backpack and you carry it in the boot rather than on a roof rack.
What is included in a JOBE SUP package?
A JOBE SUP package contains everything you need to get on the water straight away. The bag holds the inflatable board itself, an adjustable aluminium or carbon paddle, a double-action hand pump with manometer, a leash for your ankle and a fin. The backpack has shoulder straps and wheels on the heavier models like Duna and Neva. Elite versions upgrade to a higher-end carbon paddle and a lighter travel bag. A pressure gauge, repair kit and roof SUP holder are available separately.
How long does it take to inflate an inflatable SUP?
With the supplied JOBE Double Action hand pump you inflate a board of 10 to 11 feet in six to eight minutes to 15 PSI. The Triple Action hand pump works faster and is lighter in the final phase when back pressure builds up. Paddle more than once a week? Invest in the JOBE 12V SUP pump that connects to a car battery or power bank. It does the job in about ten minutes without sore arm muscles. Deflating is fast via the valve and takes under two minutes.
What is the difference between Yarra, Duna and Mira from JOBE?
The JOBE Yarra is a 10.6 all-round board with rounded nose, wide and stable, perfect for beginners and mixed use. The Duna is 11.6 with a more pointed touring nose that cuts through the water, for longer trips and stronger paddlers. The Mira (also touring) comes in 10.2 as a compact variant for those who want the manoeuvrability of a 10-footer combined with the speed of a touring shape. For the heaviest user or a tandem trip you go to the Neva 12.6. Still unsure? Our specialists are happy to help based on your weight and sailing area.
