The low collar won't chafe against wetsuit or hood, roomy armholes let you pump and reach uninhibitedly, and the smooth exterior won't snag on leashes or board edges. The fit is unisex and designed to be worn over a wetsuit; the inside feels soft and dries quickly after a dive. Closure and panels are positioned so that the vest can be worn under a waist or seat harness, with enough room around the belly to keep your stance and breathing free during longer stretches.
