The Helly Hansen Skagen Pro sailing suit is a significant improvement over the regular Skagen model, both in the jacket and pants. This suit is specially designed for offshore and coastal sailing, where maximum protection from the elements is required.
Advantages over the normal Skagen suit: The Skagen Pro is even more waterproof thanks to its 3-layer construction, compared to the 2-layer construction of the standard model. In addition, there are no shoulder seams in the jacket, which minimizes the chance of water penetration. The use of HELLY TECH® Performance technology provides waterproof, breathable and windproof protection, ideal for harsh sea conditions.
Reinforced areas: Both the jacket and pants have strategically placed reinforcements for added durability. The jacket features reinforced areas in areas that are under the most pressure while sailing. The pants have additional reinforcements at the knees, bottom hem and seat area to withstand wear in the harshest conditions.
The suit further offers fully adjustable elements for a personalized fit: an adjustable hood, face shield, waist, cuffs, shoulder straps and legs. The double storm flap on the jacket and SOLAS reflective elements add to safety and protection from the elements. In short, the Skagen Pro offers not only more waterproofness and toughness, but also more comfort and protection while sailing.
