Buy wakeboard accessories for a complete kit
Wakeboard accessories are the individual parts and tools you need beyond your board and wakeboard rope for a complete session: bindings, helmets, bags, bridles, shock tubes and towers. The range includes everything from JOBE, organised by category, to complete your kit or replace worn parts. For the boards themselves, check out the wakeboard collection, for ropes the wakeboard ropes, and for head protection the watersport helmets.
Wakeboard accessories by category
| Category | Examples | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Open-toe bindings | JOBE Maze, Unit, Republik, Host, Drift | Adjustable for multiple foot sizes, shared use |
| Closed-toe bindings | JOBE Nitro, Charge, Ripper | Maximum control for one rider, advanced |
| Bridles | Watersports Bridle 8FT/12FT, Magnum Bridle | Y-connector for boats without a fixed attachment point |
| Shock tubes and bungee | JOBE Bungee Rope | Impact absorption at start, less shock on rider |
| Wakeboard bags | JOBE Wakeboard Bag Trolley | Protection and transport, with wheels |
| Ski flags | JOBE Ski Flag Orange | Required in some countries during watersports |
| Binding parts | JOBE Drift Binding Skin, Repair kit | Replacement of wear parts, minor repairs |
Rule of thumb: bindings + rope + helmet + bridle are the four essentials alongside the board. A wakeboard bag is essential if you transport the board regularly. Shock tubes are only needed with powerful motorboats above 200 hp.
Open-toe versus closed-toe bindings
Open-toe bindings (JOBE Maze, Unit, Republik, Host) fit multiple shoe sizes within one size category, ideal for shared use. Closed-toe bindings (Nitro, Charge, Ripper) enclose the whole foot for maximum control and direct response on tricks, suitable for advanced riders. Both types fit all JOBE wakeboards with universal 4x4 or 6x4 insert patterns.
Frequently asked questions about wakeboard accessories
Which wakeboard bindings do I need?
For beginners and shared family use: open-toe bindings (JOBE Maze, Unit, Host) in size S/M or M/L. For advanced riders with their own board: closed-toe bindings (Nitro, Charge) for maximum control. For wake park with obstacles: choose bindings with reinforced heel (Host, Republik) for damage protection. Always choose your regular shoe size.
Is a wakeboard helmet required?
At most Dutch wake parks a helmet is compulsory. Behind your own boat not legally required but strongly recommended for jumps and tricks. A fall on water at more than 30 km/h feels like falling on concrete. Choose a CE-certified watersport helmet in our watersport helmet collection.
What is a shock tube and do I need one?
A shock tube is an elastic connector between the wakeboard rope and the boat that absorbs the start jolt. With hard-accelerating motorboats above 250 hp it prevents shoulder shocks. For recreational boats under 150 hp a shock tube is not needed and even counterproductive.
How do you transport a wakeboard safely?
Use a wakeboard bag with padded inner lining that prevents scratches. The JOBE Wakeboard Bag Trolley has wheels for transport. Never store the board loosely in the car boot or on an open trailer; UV yellows the gel coat and impacts cause cracks in the rails.
