Kitesurfing combines kite flying, surfing and wakeboarding into one of the most exhilarating water sports. A power kite pulls you across the water – on a board or launching you into the air.
Disciplines: Freeride · Big Air · Wave · Foil
| Equipment | Function |
|---|---|
| Kite | Wind-powered propulsion |

Choosing your kite size
As a general rule: at 75–85 kg body weight and 4–5 Beaufort wind, a kite of around 9–10 m² is ideal. Lighter riders or stronger wind = smaller kite; heavier riders or less wind = larger kite.
Safety in kitesurfing
- Always ride with a quick-release safety system.
- Check your chicken loop is properly secured before launching.
