Blade or Blade Pro for me?
The Blade is the logical allround wave sail for intermediate to advanced wave riders who want premium X-ply durability. The Blade Pro is the pro version with significantly lighter construction (about 200 grams less per size) and sharper profile response, suited for competitive riders. For recreational wave riding the regular Blade is enough.
Which Blade sizes do I need for my quiver?
Most wave riders build a quiver of two to three sizes. For 75-85 kg riders a 4.7 + 5.2 + 5.7 quiver is common: 4.7 for 6-7 Bft, 5.2 for 5-6 Bft and 5.7 for 4-5 Bft. Lighter riders (60-70 kg) can go half a size down. Heavier riders (90+ kg) go half a size up.
Which mast works on the Blade?
The Blade is RDM-only designed: you always use a Severne RDM mast (White, Blue, Red, Gorilla or Gorilla G2 RDM). The recommended mast length is on the sail bag (typically 370 for sails up to 4.7 and 400 for 5.0+). For the Blade Pro a higher carbon percentage (Gorilla G2 RDM, 100% carbon) is the recommended combination for maximum performance.
