This Skagen Offshore sailing jacket is perfect for both offshore and coastal sailing. The jacket was designed with input from professional sailors to come up with the best sailing jacket together. The jacket is made of durable and innovative materials to keep you protected season after season. Because it uses Helly Tech Performance construction, the jacket is trusted waterproof and breathable. The interior of the jacket is made of 100% recycled quick-drying mesh lining. The hood, hem and cuffs are all adjustable for an ideal fit. The jacket's collar features a padded fleece lining and has a reflective element in several areas.

Helly Hansen

In 1877, Captain Helly Juell Hansen recognized the need for better protection against the harsh Norwegian elements. He and his wife, Maren Margarethe, began soaking coarse linen with linseed oil. This advanced process resulted in water-resistant clothing for workers at sea, and Helly Hansen was born.

Working from their basement, the innovative and hardworking duo tirelessly created workwear designed for long days at sea. The Norwegian manufacturer quickly became an important player in the clothing industry. Just one year after its founding, Helly Hansen received the first of many awards at the World's Fair in Paris.

The rest is a true Norwegian industrial adventure. In a short time, Helly Hansen increased production, built and acquired factories throughout the country, and expanded its product range.
