Which wetsuit thickness do I need to surf in the Netherlands?
In the Netherlands you surf year round in cool to cold water, so wetsuit thickness depends on the season. On summer days between May and September a 3/2 millimetre wetsuit is usually enough; in spring and autumn 4/3 millimetres is more comfortable. The winter months call for a 5/4 or 5/4/3 millimetre wetsuit, often combined with surf shoes and surf gloves.
