The Severne Mast Extension Carbon Race is a lightweight, stiff 100% carbon extension for windsurfing masts. With precise length adjustment, you can set the luff of your sail exactly to the recommended value, which directly influences the profile and balance of the sail. The carbon construction keeps weight low and prevents unnecessary flex between mast and boom, so power and trim are transferred directly. A solid downhaul attachment and durable closure keep the extension in position, even under high downhaul tension or after falls.
In practice, you notice the difference when rigging: with the right extension you build the ideal profile faster, sail more centred in the wind range of the sail, and need less force on the boom in strong winds. The Carbon Race is suitable for RDM masts and fits all Severne sails that recommend carbon extensions. Thanks to the durable finish and corrosion-resistant materials, the extension lasts a long time, even with intensive use in salt water. A reliable and essential component for any serious windsurfing setup.
