The HELLY TECH® Performance membrane consistently keeps out wind and rain, whilst the excellent breathability ensures you stay comfortable during prolonged use on deck. The women’s cut combines an excellent fit with complete freedom of movement on board. The quick-drying lining on the inside ensures comfort during active use. Adjustable waist and shoulder straps make it easy to adjust the fit.

Reinforced knees and seat provide extra durability in the areas subject to the most wear and tear. The adjustable ankle cuffs seal the legs tightly over shoes or boots. In 1877 Captain Helly Juell Hansen saw the need for better protection against the harsh Norwegian elements. He and his wife, Maren Margarethe, began soaking coarse linen with linseed oil. This advanced process resulted in waterproof clothing for workers at sea, and Helly Hansen was born.
Working from their basement, the innovative and industrious duo worked tirelessly to create workwear for long days at sea. The Norwegian manufacturer quickly became a major player in the clothing industry. Just one year after its founding, Helly Hansen received the first of many awards at the World Exhibition in Paris.
The rest is a true Norwegian industrial adventure. In a short time, Helly Hansen increased production, built and acquired factories throughout the country, and expanded its product range.
