Buy surf poncho: warm and dry after your session
A surf poncho is a closed towelling robe with a wide opening at the top, a hood and side pockets. Terry or microfibre: when to choose which?
Terry cloth is the classic choice for water sports enthusiasts who want to warm up quickly after a cold session. The thick loops absorb large amounts of moisture and the material mass retains warmth longer. Ideal for kitesurfers and windsurfers out in spring or autumn. Microfibre is the choice when compactness matters: the poncho packs down small and dries quickly after use. For cold North Sea sessions, terry is more comfortable.
Choosing your size and fit
A surf poncho must reach at least to the knee to allow discreet changing. Check the length indication per size. Children’s models follow size charts by age or height.
