Tohatsu Outboard Motor 2.5 HP Long Tail (L)

This is a Tohatsu 2.5 hp long-tail which means the tailpiece is longer than a short-tail. A long-tail is suitable for sailboats or boats where the transom sits high above the water. For dinghies, we recommend choosing a short-tail outboard motor.

The Tohatsu 2.5 hp is a light but powerful outboard motor. Weighing only 18.4 kg, it is the lightest engine of its kind. Its compact design makes it an easy engine to use. The throttle is mounted on the baton.

A CDI ignition is used this makes it easier to start the engine even in cold temperatures. The capacity of the internal tank is 1.1 liters. The fuel consumption at full throttle is 1 liter per hour.

The Tohatsu 2.5hp is equipped with a dead man's rope, this provides extra safety while sailing. It also has a start protection feature, which means that the engine will only start if it is in neutral gear.
