The Helly Hansen Salt Port Sailing Pants Child Dark Blue is a simple but very practical pant for young sailors! These pants are the answer if you are looking for a reliable wind and waterproof pant that ventilates well. The knees√´n and seat have extra reinforcement to prevent rapid wear and tear. The waistband and shoulder straps are elastic and the ankles are adjustable with Velcro. The length of the pant legs can be adjusted, so you can always create a good fit. Finally, the Salt Port has a handy pocket on the upper leg and a high back panel for extra warmth.

In 1877, Captain Helly Juell Hansen recognized the need for better protection against the harsh Norwegian elements. He and his wife, Maren Margarethe, began soaking coarse linen with linseed oil. This advanced process resulted in water-resistant clothing for workers at sea, and Helly Hansen was born.
